Week of May 12
On Friday, May 9, those students that reached their Accelerated Reader goals were treated to time playing in the "mobile gaming trailer". 71 students qualified for the event, and thank goodness the rain didn't prevent the kids from having fun. Great job to our JOES students for a year full of reading, and we are proud of all of you!!
Earlier today, 5th and 6th grade band students from all corners of Vermilion parish, including our students from Jesse Owens and GHS, gathered to put on a concert for Band Day! Students have spent most of the semester learning the same music, so today was their chance to practice together then perform for family and friends. They did an amazing job!
4-H officers at JOES did their community service for the month today then enjoyed strawberries fresh out the garden!

2nd graders in Mrs. Rebecca's class enjoyed popsicles today as a reward for finishing Dibels testing!
1st grade rocked their end of year Dibels assessment!! They had an ice cream and cookie party to celebrate! Way to go 1st grade! 🍪🍨
