
Red Ribbon Week: I Have the Power to Be Drug Free!








PJ Day!










Students in Ms Christy’s 4th grade science class used their senses to observe like Scientists. They are learning about animals using their senses in their environments.








For day 2 of Red Ribbon Week, our students wore red, white, and blue because they Elect to be Drug Free!




Mr John was picked as the recipient of a gift card from the Kaplan Lyons Club.


Today, JOES began celebrating Red Ribbon Week with "Be All You Can Be (Drug Free)" by dressing in camouflage. We were also visited by the Vermilion Parish Sheriff's Office, as well as the Gueydan Fire Department, which gave students the chance to see and even try on some equipment!

Yesterday, 5th grade students were thinking like “food scientists “ as they conducted an experiment to determine the ingredients in 3 mystery mixtures.











JOES 4-H was represented at the Dog Clinic in Abbeville today :)











JOES News - October 14th through October 18th


4th graders in Ms. Trahan's class and Ms. Christy’s class have been studying about Energy Conservation. As an at home project they made solar cookers and brought them to school to test them out. Then they were able to enjoy their s’mores after!











This week 1st grade is learning about long o and short o! So today they used cheerios to go on a vowel hunt in their story!











Ms.Sydney’s class also made pumpkins today!


Mrs. Aimee’s 1st grade class made spelling word pumpkins today 🎃

Mrs. Aimee and Ms. Sydney’s class are practicing writing complete sentences about what they see outside.
