Here is the composite elementary and middle school leap testing schedule for 2023
5th and 6th grade band members from Jesse Owens and Gueydan High joined other students from Herod, FIEB, JH Williams, and Seventh Ward at host school Indian Bayou for the 2023 Band Day! They spent the morning practicing together before putting on a concert for parents. There were over 200 band students today, and they ALL did a great job!

Mrs Rebecca's 2nd Grade enjoyed a reward of pizza and juice for making 100% in Zearn (minus 1 week because of sickness) the entire 3rd 9 weeks!

On March 2, 2023 Jesse Owens Elementary will celebrate
Dr. Seuss's Birthday with Read Across America Day! We are asking people from the community to come to our school and share a book with our students. We want to make life long readers of our students, and what better way to do this than giving them an example of community leaders who read. Please consider this request and send a representative of your business to read to the children!
