JOES News - October 2nd through October 6th
Ms. Sydney’s class learned about light energy. They learned about natural and man-made light sources then used flashlights to imagine their classroom as a dark cave.
5th grade students were treated to an extra recess for completing all of their Zearn lessons in module 1.
Mrs. Aimee’s class enjoyed making spelling pumpkins today! Thank you to Ms. Sydney for the fun way to learn our spelling words.
Ms. Sydney’s class created spelling word pumpkins to celebrate fall!

The Kaplan Lion’s Club picked Coach Jay Landry as the Jesse Owens Teacher recipient of a gift card for school supplies.
Mrs. Heather's 4th grade science classes made "wind turbines" yesterday! Today, they'll be engineers, and redesign them to make them more efficient!
Mrs. Rebecca's 2nd graders exploring the playground looking for natural and man made resources
JOES 4th and 5th Grade Choir students building teamwork!
Mrs. Allison's 5th grade astronomers researched constellations and created posters about their constellations.
Mrs. Aimee's 1st grade class enjoying their donations in math centers!
Ms. Trahan’s 3rd graders designed their own chain reactions today and wrote about them.

JOES had their first 4-H club meeting of the year today! 46 students attended to learn all about 4-H.
