Today, JOES celebrated Grandparent's Day by inviting our loved ones to school to participate in some activities today. Thanks to everyone who attended, we hope you enjoyed your day!

Mrs. Becca’s class learned about volcanoes and earthquakes this week
Jesse Owens is in the Duck Festival Spirit thanks to a visit from Pierre la Canard!
Yesterday, Mrs. Caitlyn's 4th grade completed a foraging simulation today.
This simulation is meant to show students that foraging for food could become more difficult over time, as naturally occurring resources were used up faster than they could be replenished.
Blue was water
Green was food.
Some people were able to find enough resources. Others were not so lucky...
JOES News - August 19th through August 23rd
Ms. Trahan’s 4th grade Scientists made simple systems today with solar panels, wires, motors , and fan blades. The one part not shown is the Sun. It was our fuel that got the fans to work! They had a blast and learned a lot today!
Mrs. Aimee’s class did an experiment today to see what it is like for birds to eat with different beaks!
Students in Ms. Christy’s 4th grade class are studying about Systems. Today they built a simple system with a solor panel, wires, motor and a fan
